Portland Event & Shop Manager

Team Casino Parties & Music is looking for a part time Shop & Event Manager. We are an interactive event company, specializing in on-site casino parties, DJs, Arcade games, etc., providing entertainment at corporate, private and non-profit events for Portland, Seattle, and other outlying areas.

Job hours are flexible week to week, and will be around 80 hours per month – likely much more in our busier season of October – January, and slightly less in summer months.

Wages: $11/hr shop time, $10-15/hr event time based on duties.

The shop & events manager will be required to perform the following duties:
Loading all trucks & trailers for weekly event load at our shop location (SE 170th area)
Creating & maintaining a working inventory using Excel
On-site event setup & management (usually 2-3 events a week – mostly Fri & Sat evenings)
Dealing and teaching casino games to partygoers (training will be provided)
Maintaining vehicle maintenance schedules
Managing dealer staff at events and being client point of contact
Repairing tables and minor repairs to vehicles/trailers
Other office & shop duties as necessary

Requirements:
Friendly, outgoing personality & professional appearance
Current driver’s license (your own vehicle is preferable)
Able to lift and carry at least 70 lbs
Able to drive pickup truck and trailer combos and box trucks
Willing to take day trips to Seattle or other out of town locations, sometimes returning as late as 3 a.m.
Available almost daily in December and January
Organized with attention to detail
Flexible schedule, and willingness to work odd hours to accommodate our schedule
A basic knowledge of electronics (ex. How to hook up a Wii or Xbox to a projector)
Basic Microsoft Word & Excel skills
A cell phone with text messaging
A basic knowledge/interest of casino games is preferable, but training will be provided

Boise Sales & Event Manager

This half-time position will be in charge of sales in the Southern Idaho area market where Team Casino already has a growing pool of clients. The special event industry is always exciting. No event is the same - your job is to make each party as fun and professional as possible so the guests can't wait for the next time they get to go to one of our parties.

Job Description:

Network and sell casino party events to businesses, associations, non-profits and facilities. Coordinate delivery and set-up of events in regions finest meeting facilities Coordinate casino night parties!! Recruit, train and assign dealer staff for parties. Deal casino games at company/private parties and fundraisers.

Requirements:

Terrific sales, customer service skills and professional appearance. Two years event planning experience preferred. A keen attention to detail, and abilty to solve problems and make decisions. Available weekend nights. A very outgoing, fun, friendly personality with the ability to speak to groups.

We do NOT require any formal dealing experience, only that you know at least one game very well. We can always find spots for people who know craps and roulette, and we are always happy to train people on the mechanics of any game.

80% of events are on Friday and Saturday nights, and typical pay is $50 plus tips which can be significant.
