The Lowdown of Working for The Party Team
Although we do events all year round, December and January are our busiest months. Most of our dealers will be seasonal, working between November and February. However, we do have a stable roster that works one to three events per month throughout the rest of the year. Here are a few things to keep in mind when applying for employment.
- Since we can’t guarantee shifts, all of our workers are independent contractors.
- Most events are in the evening and run for about three hours. On average, events will be 6-9 pm or 7-10 pm.
- Fridays and Saturdays are the most common days for casino parties, but we do have events other days of the week on occasion.
- We do parties all over the Pacific Northwest, so reliable transportation is a must. Those in the Portland/Metro area can often use public transit, but it’s not always available for late-night events.
- Hourly wages are competitive, and many events will have tip cups for dealers to use.

Positions Available
Dealer/Event Staff
We deal many different casino games, including Blackjack, Texas Hold ‘Em, Craps, and Roulette. We also have specialty games like Rock Paper Scissors, Pai Gow Poker, and Let It Ride. If you don’t have experience, we can train you on all of our games. All new dealers will start on blackjack, but we highly recommend learning other games as well. A positive and outgoing personality is a must. Our tables are more relaxed than the casino – we’re here to have fun! Dealers show up 15 minutes before events and can stay to help tear down afterward.
Shift Leader
With so many events happening, we need reliable and capable individuals who can help us set them up! Shift leaders will drive our trucks to events, set up the tables and equipment, work the event, and then tear down and return to our shop. This position does require manual labor and heavy lifting, and we do pay a higher hourly wage. Shift leaders are also responsible for coordinating with clients on-site and helping dealers know any details about the event, such as parking, room number, and gameplay.
Game Show Host
We have our own version of Family Feud called Survey Says. We also run games like Jeopardy, Minute to Win It, and Kahoot! We’re looking for high-quality hosts that can keep guests engaged throughout the event. Game shows typically last 60 to 90 minutes, and they’re a lot of fun! This position is perfect for outgoing and boisterous individuals who want to channel their inner Steve Harvey!
Photo Booth Attendant
Our photo booths are the life of the party! We have incredible props and we deliver high-quality results with each photo! The attendant is responsible for helping guests in and out of the booth, explaining the procedure, and organizing the props between groups. The attendant is also there to ensure that everyone gets some incredible pictures!
DJ
If you know how to mix the turntables and create a fun atmosphere, we want you on our team! We can provide all of the DJ equipment, including speakers, mixers, DJ table, and laptop. We also offer karaoke services to our clients, so a knowledge of how to do that is a plus. If not, we can train you on our karaoke setup.
